Digital Thread

The digital thread is a common thread that links data to one another within a company. It is the basis for the digital twin, as it connects all types of data to one another, from requirements management and the functional definition through to service processes, documentation and spare parts catalogues. To create a digital twin, the digital thread is connected to 3D geometries, parts lists, documentation and data from the application.
